I received my BFA from Illinois Wesleyan with a concentration in Ceramics
I received my MAT from Columbia College
I continue to take Art classes around Evanston and Chicago from places like Lil Street and the Chicago Mosaic school, and draw with charcoal at home. Here are a few pieces I made that are around my home
I made these dishes when I got married (I made mugs and bowls too)
I completed these pieces during the summer. I took a class at Columbia College.
I made around 40 of these insect shapes when I was in college. My parents hung them all over their garage to creep out their neighbors. I have a few hanging in my home because I particularly liked the textures or shapes.
These eggplants are made out of bronze and aluminum. To make a metal sculpture you have to create a clay or wax sculpture first and then make a mold of that sculpture, remove the old sculpture and then pour hot metal into the mold. It is a pretty neat process.
This is my latest drawing...I think I made the dodo's head to big :(
